The carpet on my boat is worn out, and I am in the process of deciding what to replace it with. Has anyone used/heard of anyone replacing carpet with rhino lining? My boat is an 18' Polar Kraft. thanks

It can be done, but it will get hot in the sun and will not be as quiet as carpet when you drop things.  

Just to throw this out there as well....my father in law got the do it yourself kind for his truck...and.....well...it did well for about 6 months. He is one of those folks that reads directions and does everything by the book, and he's pretty handy....so, if you decide to go that route, I would get it done professionally using one of the bigger name products like Rhino....

But...that last point was a good one....loud when you drop stuff....hot in the summer....

thanks for the input. I thought the lining  would deflect the heat and I guess it would be loud when I drop things. Just looking for a permanent fix

I think it's a great idea.  And remember you don't have to just get black anymore.  They can color match now.  I would look at Linex also.
