Took my Ascend 10t out for first time. No gear with me, just out to get a feel. Such a different atmosphere. I like it alot. Used to buddies Bass boat which is awesome but can see that I will like this even though it's just a entry level Yak. Just myself , the water and fishing. Most times I fish off the banks I'm by myself which I enjoy. I try to get my 22 and 19 year old to come out but the 22yr. old just doesn't show interest and my 19 year old fishes for a hour than is on his phone sitting on my tailgate lol. Weather looks nice for weekend so I'm excited to get it out for my first fishing outing on it.

Enjoy.  Wise move taking the kayak out with nothing the first time to get a feel for it.  I would even say get a feel for it to the point of trying to flip it and see how it does and how you do.  Might want to wait till the water warms up a little though because i would bet you guys are in the 50 degree water range at this point.  

 

Water is definitely still cold.. local lake is small and shallow.. plenty of area’s 3 to 5 feet so if I flip I won’t freak out.. well may as it’s cold but.
