Remote Throttle

Featured Replies

Looking to replace a quicksilver side-mount remote throttle on my 1994 Nitro with a 125 Mercury Tracker motor.  Looking for some feedback and recommendations.

1.  How difficult of a task is this?

2.  Any tips or warnings I should be aware of before undertaking this task?

3.  Any recommendations on a replacement model?

Thanks for your time...look forward to hearing from you.

Stay safe!

I would have a service do it.  It can get complicated with shifting and throttle on the remote controls.  Just me.

Thank you.  I contacted a local boat shop.  Will wait to hear what they say.  Thanks for your response.

My 2001 Mercury throttle control wasn't working correctly so I took it apart cleaned and lubed. Working great now. It wasn't that hard to do. Found the schematic on the internet.  It would not be hard to replace if you go that route.
