Along the boat is a weatherstrip im gona have to remove before painting. Keep in mind this is a 1971 Boat ... how do i remove this safely should i use a heat gun (Havnt tried that yet) But pulling on it removes it in 1inch chunks lol.

Just wondering if there is a faster method - Also what do i ask for when i go to buy the new strip?
