If you're planning on running one regular flooded cell battery and one AGM you need to make sure the charger will do that.  Many chargers only can be set to charge like batteries.  In other words you set it for AGM or flooded cell batteries and that sets the whole charger, not just one bank.  You will need to make sure one bank can be set for AGM while the other bank can be set for flooded cell because they charge different.  If not, you will damage one of the batteries.

Hey, Rob, this IS helpful. Do you happen to know if the older Guest model 2611 charger (date code on mine is Aug 19,1999) automatically supports gels as well as flooded batteries? Note this is NOT the newer 2611A, which I know does support gel cells. Any insight you guys might have would be much appreciated. I'm using two 12V in series to run trolling motor. Thanks! ::D
