Alright say I wanted to flush mount my 522, is it possible to hook up an external antenna??

    Yes it is, but I think you will have to spend a few extra bucks and tie the 522 and the external antenna together via a NMEA 2000 network.  I could be wrong, but, like you, I'm too lazy to pull out my 522 Owner's Manual and read it.   ;D
