The Spot

Featured Replies

I've read about this being a vibrating bait? When I've googled it nothing has came up. Is it a lipless bait and what would you compare it to now?

Are you talking about a Cotton Cordell Super Spot?  I would compare it to itself.  Still a very popular bait.  As far as any other bait....I would compare it to any other lipless crank like a Rat-L-Trap or a Red Eye Shad.  Vibrating?  I guess, just because it has a very tight shimmy as it comes through the water

TH' spot is no longer made.  It had flat sides, the BBs inside were probably lead, so probably similar to the Rat-L-Trap @Jaderose mentioned.  Cotton Cordell now make the Super Spot.  It has contoured sides ("belly" is fatter), and fishes a little shallower (if I remember correctly how the TH' Spot fished).  Note - I think the Rat-L-Trap no longer has lead BBs in it.  The newer ones I have sound like steel (something harder than lead) when I shake the lure.
