Total scan ducer mounting- Tracker 185 pro team

Featured Replies

Just picked up a new to me tracker 185, I'm swapping my total scan from my old aluminum boat to this boat. I would like to be able to get readings on plane, motor only has a 50 horse so it's only does about 30 mph.

I'm having trouble picking a spot to mount my transducer board, if I mount to step that puts the entire transducer under the water. I could use the previous owners board on port side, but his garmin that came with the boat loses bottom very quick. Not sure if that's just product differences or it's mounted too high.
