Yamaha Trim Gauge Question (Answered)

Featured Replies

I have a Yamaha Vmax with a digital trim gauge like the one pictured below, but my trim indicator (the bars on the right on the picture) always stays full with the top one blinking. I am getting tired of looking back or or relying on "feel" for correct trim setting. How do I get it to indicate correctly?

Disregard the question. After tinkering in my garage I found out that it was my plastic trim sender cam. It broke at the bracket so it wouldn't send a signal to the gauge.

Your right, trimmed down to take off and trim up accordingly, since I have the digital multifunction gauge it bugs me to have the darn trim indicator blinking though while looking at the tach. Its screaming fix me fix me  :(

I was thinking that but wasn't sure if the digital gauge used the same sending unit.  Glad it's an easy fix for you.
