I had the rack type system and I'm planning to go with a rotary since so many people recommended it.

The cable length is 12 ft.

Here's my question. Obviously the rack system is longer than the rotary, so if I do go ahead with the rotary, wouldn't I have to add another 1 ft in cable length to make up that distance? From the center of the wheel to the gunwale, which means that I really need at least a 13 ft cable now, am I correct? I'm thinkingeven if I many have a little more in cable lengthmore is better than less.

What do you think? Should I just stick to the rack style and know exactly what I'm getting and save the frustration?
