RE-carpeting question...

Featured Replies

After I get all of my carpet up and glue off, should i put something down on the deck before I put down my new carpet, in order to protect the deck? Some type of clear coating?

Also, anyone have any tricks for getting the old carpet off the storage lids? Floor was easy....lids not so much.

Thanks!

Try a hair blowdryer for the stubborn carpeting. Treat your wood by mixing fiberglass resin and dilute it to a watery consistancy with acetone. Give it about 3 coats. When you recarpet, use outdoor carpet adhesive, and use a roller to smooth out the carpetingafter applying adhesive.     Happy fishing.
