RATTLE QUESTION

Featured Replies

I got an idea in another thread and rather than hijack it i will ask the question here. DO rattles sometimes produce too much  noise and actually have a negative effect on the bite?

theres a jimmy houston video where he said that if theres alot of fishing pressure or boat traffic, he would throw a rattlebait with only one rattle in it  to just show the bass something different in a bait he knew would produce.       a while back i went fishing at eastcanyon reservoir here  and we were throwing rattletraps, and only getting the occasional fish. so i tied on one of my megabass lipless cranks with no rattles  and the fish were hittin it on every cast
