trolling motor probelm!!

Featured Replies

i have a Motorguide Brute 50# thrust bow mount trolling motor. i pulled it out of storage today to go out for the first time this year and it will not work. the battery is only one year old and it charged yesterday and this morning it read 13 volts, when i press the button there was nothing i checked all the connections and they were good. does the trolling motor have a fuse or something that i can check? i do remember it only working on 24 volt last year(when i only have one battery hooked up) any input would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

Check for a fuse or circuit breaker inline somewhere. They usually place them along the wire in an area thats easy to get to. Look near your battery first, if not there you may have to pull the access panel off on your bow and check the line there. It could be something like your foot control is broke as well, but I would check for the fuse first.
