Fishing in Thompson Lake, ME

Featured Replies

I have a lake house on the very northern tip of Thompson Lake in Maine. Deepest the water gets on my end of the lake is maybe 12 ft. I have a canoe, but it is a long way to the part of the lake where water is more than 20 feet deep (about a mile from my house), so I mostly fish from the bank. Does anyone have any tips on how to fish for bass on that end of the lake?

Rest doesn’t matter..you won

Fish it real early or late. May have to put lights on the canoe. Topwater works well or soft swimbaits.

That part of the lake is loaded with stumps, I've done well top waters early and late. jigs, wacky rigged worms, hula grubs. Everything you fish with the exception of topwaters should be rigged weedless due to the stumps.

There's good sized largies and sm there.

to far to canoe but can haul it to the other end and fish the heath.great fishing for bass.
