I am looking to get a casting rod that would be used for top water baits and jerk baits. Is this a possibility or are ideal rods for there presentations just too different? Be it a specific rod or even better what specs would be ideal? Power, length, action, etc? TIA

    Maybe $100-150? While I certainly would consider specific recommendations I probably am looking more for ideal specs then I can try to narrow down the options then hunt for a deal.

    i use the Daiwa Tatula 701MRB and it works great for both. I think it's actually designed with topwaters in mind.
