Thanks for your input .

I have a 565 on my boat, and I love it.  I bought it from BPS, and the man at the counter said it was the best for the money.

I really need to get one but need more help , i  really want a color one .

If you plan on using it alot and want good detail... you'll want a little larger screen.. probably around a 5 inch at least.  Especially if you will ever view it from very far away. Color is a very nice option, but I would choose larger screen and resolution before color.  Any reason for a portable?  Most permanent units can be made portable fairly easy if necessary. All in all, of those you listed, I would go with the 565.

The 565s are great units. I had two on my boat for a while. I have upgraded to the larger screen(LCX-15MT GPS/Sonar) units and even though they are monochrome instead of the color I could not go back to a smaller screen unit. I bought both on several sites and paid 200.00 a piece for them(Complete) and have had no trouble with either. I also purchased a new in the box X-96 for 100.00 off another site. If you look around you can get some deals so you might be able to up grade without spending an arm and a leg.

FYI, I sold my 565 to a member on this site for 100.00 so just look around or contact me and I will give you the site info that I purchased the units from. I am not going to advertise for them here out of respect for Glenn, RW, LBH, and the rest of the site mods.
