Ok Well as most of you older boat owners know this new ethanol/gas mix is creating havoc for older engines. I just had to have my carb rebuilt my mechanic joking asked "Was I trying to run the engine on jello?" The gas was like the consistency of jelly.

So with that in mind is there anything that you members are adding to your gas that will stop or minimize the problem of ethanol in the gas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I couldn't find it where I live so I ordered some off E-Bay.

I use the blue Stabil, have used Seafoam. But after talking to friends who are avid pleasure boaters, the recommendation is for the product listed below. That will be going in my next tank

We still havesome places that we can buy pure gasoline .... I still run Evinrudes 2+4 fuel conditioner .........

I had to have the carbs rebuilt last August due to the D%^m stuff. I'm now trying to wait until I get out of Houston to try to find fuel that is not mixed. There are a few places up in the East Texas area still selling the real deal so I buy up there and fill a few cans with extra if I can.

I.ve paid big $ for carb and fuel pump repair on my 1967 Evinrude Starflite 80 hp.  :'( I was using regular Sta-bil at the time. > I'm now using Star-Tron enzyme fuel stabilizer. I'm now in wait and see mode.     Happy fishing.
