Lets hope this year is as good as last!

Nice antlers! Deer archery season is almost here, gun season at end of Oct., ML'er at end of Nov. Cleaning up and winterizing the boat today and tomorrow, cleaning up truck on Sat. and then just keeping an eye on stands and monitoring game cam. Out back I've got some of the only oak trees around and they are producing heavy this year, both pear trees are full and dropping as well. Deer will walk thru apples to get to sweet sickle pears  Hope everybody has a safe and successful season and some venison to enjoy, I really love tenderloin, backstrap, and jerky.    Dave

Sounds like you've got em' all but tied to a tree ?. 

Bow opener is 1 wk away here. I'm taking my SIL so I'll be riding shotgun in a two man stand. Hopefully he'll get his first deer.

Well my son and I both hunt quite a ways away but where there's doe there will be bucks. Hope you are successful in helping him get his first deer  Leaves are coloring fast and starting to drop some as well, couple more days of warm weather and then it cool's down towards the end of next week. I'm thinking about putting one more stand up........never can have too many really, allows you to rotate around and not over scent an area.   Good Hunting    Dave
