I have a 30# Motor Guide HVT 3000 trolling motor I want to mount on the Bow of my 10 ft Jon Boat. A guy at BPS tells me that Motor Guide TM's dont have a reversible control head,so if I want to do this ,I will have to buy a Minn Kota or something else.

Was he correct,or was he just trying to get me to buy a different trolling motor?
