Just picked up a NRX842s over the holiday. Got it as an all around spinning setup. I am aware the rod is designed to be used with jigs and soft plastics. 

 

For people who have experience with this rod how accurate is the 1/8 oz to 3/8 oz rating? What is the sweet spot for the rod? What techniques and lures/baits is it ideal for and what is it capable of?

 

I was planning on using it for small finesse swim baits, weightless soft plastics, jika rigs, and maybe heavy ned rigs or shaky heads.

I should note I was also considering using it for finesse jigs but have 0 experience with jigs and am completely baffled by the array of variations plus trailers.
