Decided to try my first BFS reel.  It’s more for light plastics 8# test down to 1/8oz.  The light spool is definitely something to get used to it’s super fast.
I gave $48 for the reel on sale just can’t beat the price.

I bought the same reel. Spooled mine with 8 lbs daiwa j-braid. I had to oil the bearings because it was loud on the cast. The knobs are riveted and have alot of play, so I changed out the handle.

Fished with it twice so far. Not bad at casting a 1/8 oz shakey head with small plastic worm on it.

It's a nice looking reel for only $50.

I agree I noticed the same thing and ordered a carbon handle right after I got it. The first thing I do after buying a reel is break it down and flush bearings and relube everything and polish up the internals.
It does have a couple flaws, but it’s cheap.
