Thinking about a trip to Kerr Reservoir at the end of April 2021.  Can anyone give me some tips/ideas? What, approximately, would the water temperatures be?  Thanks in advance.

Kerr can be pretty unpredictable in the spring of the year.  Water should be in the upper 50s or low 60s come april.  The water fluctuates alot and could be pretty high and stained.  Flipping bushes and working around points and secondary points can be productive.   Jigs and moving baits like spinnerbaits, swim jigs, paddle tails, and shallow to medium diving cranks work well on Kerr. @Sam could have some good insight on Kerr as well.  Kerr is the lake I grew up on, I get down there a few times a year, historically it can be a tough lake to fish, but also very rewarding.  I think you can Google it and find alot of fishing reports on one of the local websites.  Some of the guys on that forum and site and pretty honest with their reports (cant remember the site name, I'll try to find it and share the link, it normally tells you water level and a close temp)

Check the water level of Kerr. 300 is normal pool and as you know, 303 and up means the water is "in the bushes and this is where you want it.

 

If the water temperature is in the low 60's, the bass are heading for their beds.

 

Eastland's bushes, Nutbush's creeks, and lots of other places to fish depending on the water clarity and temperature.

 

Also, it can be cold at the end of April so look up the air temperature, too.

March 27th and 28th is our first 2day club tournament there, I will post a report on the current conditions that weekend of you wish.

Just finished our two day tournament here, we primarily stayed in Butcher Creek area with a visit each morning to Carter Branch near Cooper Island.

 

Water temps stayed in the mid 50’s, storms were sever at times with heavy rains which changed the water clarity constantly but averaged roughly anywhere from 8” to 12” 

 

The best bite was early morning and turned off very quickly, some seemed to have already spawned others are heading in, secondary points in long creek arms were key during our events.
