Situations for cranks??

Featured Replies

I read all of the posts about best crankbaits by dabesfishn.  it helped me cuz i am tryin to get into cranks and that was informative but i have a question.    I read alot of the post talkin about situations with color and wobble.  Well here is my question.   Which situation is good for a wide wobble and which is best for tight wiggles?   Which color would u prefer in clear water and which for stained or murky?

Chris

In my opinion the muddier the water, the wider the wobble you want. Also in clearer water use cranks that look more like baitfish, crawdads, etc. In muddy water either use black/chartreuse back, very bright, or dark. Not much else i can add. Hope this helps.  ;)

Tight wobbles are best suited for colder water or inactive fish.

You can fish a crankbait almost any time of the year if you know what you are doing.

people like Rick Clunn and David Fritts are amongst the best crankbait fisherman in the world, and they have the skill it takes to crank in almost any situation. And they will, if the body of water they are fishing allows it.

Im no cranking expert, but i hope this helps. There are much better crankbait fisherman on this forum than me, im sure they will be here soon to give some advice.

good luck -wm
