Dean Rojas Spro Frogs...

Featured Replies

I just recently bought some of these Frogs, the Dean Rojas Spro Frogs. I was pretty excited to use these as I dont have allot of areas to use them where I fish. So I line it up with 40lb braid and rig it up to a 7ft 6in rod and start casting. My first outing I was extremely disappointed in it. I caught two fish of decent size 2-3lbs, the upsetting thing is this. After releasing the second fish the intricate color detail on the frogs body that I thought was dyed in/ molded in, is only painted on. A good portion of one side of the frogs body is all peeled off. I usually dont mind much on occurrences like this but these frogs are upwards of $8-$9 each. Id just hope that the product being that expensive wouldn't fall apart after the second fish I caught on it. I guess Im just a little disappointed and needed to vent.

I would send atleast a email with some pictures if you can to spro and let them know what happned alot of times they will do something for you.

I wouldn't worry too much about the sides, I would be more concerned with the bottom of the frog, because this is what bass see while looking up from the bottom of the water.

Maybe a matching color waterproof marker would work? Im sure you can figure out a way to get the color back on.

Plus a couple bass in the 2-3 pound range is definately a fair trade for a peeled off side of a body wouldn't you say?  ;)
