Allatoona Lake

Featured Replies

Does anyone fish Allatoona Lake? Especially around Stamp Creek/Wilderness Camp? Any good spots for largemouth bass? Spots are basically everywhere, but I have trouble finding largemouth.

Lake Allatoona is challenging, and those LMB’s are few and far between. Anywhere you see any trees going down in to the water, you have a small chance of getting yourself a largemouth. It’s a rare chance though.

I didn't do too well there last season but they seem to be hitting well on the red top mtn side this year. I've had multiple days catching 8-10 bass in 4-5 hrs in the 1.5 - 4 lb range. Also getting some good size catfish off my drop shots sitting a few min in the 12-25ft range where I'm hitting good shore cover for bass with chatter bait or spinners. Slip bobbers with minnows at 5-8ft in 10-15ft do well too. If you have a boat go south of the bridge to the right side and hit any coves that look good with cover. Tight lines!
