What a show!

Featured Replies

I'm at the staging area today getting ready to launch, when a kid walks up the ramp to get his rig out. He comes around to the ramp in a vintage chevette! I'm like no way.

He backs down the ramp, snatches his boat, then the show starts, The massive 1.2 liter tachs out, then comes the clutch dump, then comes the burnout up the ramp. He gets to the staging area, where he unhooks it from the bumper, then puts it on a hitch mounted on the hatch! because it rides too low on the bumper.

I live in the mountains, so you're either on the gas, or on the brakes. So I ask him how his ride handles in an emergency stop, and he tells me he doesn't know, it hasn't happened yet! :)

I can't imagine pulling or stopping 600 lbs. worth of boat and trailer with 1000 lbs. worth of car.

What a shame you didn't have a video camera on you,  sure sounds like a classic You Tube moment for sure.

After that, I'm going to at least keep a one time use camera on the boat.
