Lowrance x96 or Eagle 320?

Featured Replies

I just had my trolling motor mounted fishfinder die and I have to get a replacement quick. I am looking for the best fishfinder for the money that will work well on the trolling motor. Any opinions of experienced users would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Between the two, get the Eagle.  It's the same graph as the x96.

I have a 320C I'm going to be listing on the board here over the weekend.  Reads easily in bright light,  nice resolution that picks out the thermocline in the auto mode.  It easily see's your lure if your bouncing it along the bottom under the transducers cone.

I'm putting a 510C in the 320's place.  Keep your eye open on the flea market board.   :o

Both units have the same screen resolution and power. The X96 has a few more views, one of which is a flasher which is handy for holding over a drop-off since it will show the whole drop rather than one depth with the scrolling screens. Those that are used to using flasher sonar units will appreciate that view.

Yeah, I am new to bass fishing from a boat. I fished the electric reservoirs with a jon boat for a few years. I wanna get into tournament bass fishing  so I wanna get something that I can grow with. I need to replace both finders on my boat but the one in the front needs it now. I know what I am putting by the console, a HDS-7 with lake insight but I gotta get some money together first. I just want a solid finder in the front to mount on the trolling motor. Thanks for the information.
