First I did a search and could not find any answers on this. What do you guys reccomend for a brand Minn kota or Motorguide in the 70lbs  24v range? My limit is $600.00. I am upgradeing from a 43lbs Motorguide. I would also like to know if the bolt pattern is the same for both Motorguide and Minn Kota?  Thanks to all that can help on this.

I replaced a 43# MG 12/24v with a 68# MK Maxxum 24v about 4 years ago, Just before the lifth assist came on the market. I went with a variable speed and a built  in depth sounder tranaducer. I am super pleased.

The holes matched up but since the MG hadn't used all the holes I did put in two more.

Ya I think I will give Minn Kota a shot as along as the bolt pattern is the same. I am hoping to see a big improvement over the 43lbs MG. It's a little slow and does not get threw the pads that well. I really would like a 101lbs, But 1000 bucks is out of the question.

24 v. Minn kota (Riptide) on my skeeter. Never regretted it.
