Smokercraft 171 Pro Bass

Featured Replies

First post, about a first boat purchase. Been lurking for a while.

Looked at a 2009 Smokercraft 171 Pro Bass today, with a Yamaha 90 hp. It has a welded aluminum hull. I'm wondering about other's recent experiences with this brand. Is it reliable, etc? I did a search on here and saw one horror story on a riveted '98. How would this boat compare with a Triton VT 17, or a Tracker Pro 175 ? The Smokercraft basic package would be a bit cheaper, but is it comparable or better quality? Are there still issues with warranty, etc.? Thanks.

I have never had a smokercarft, but have buddies that have v hull Smokercrafts and they all are older boats and seem to be bullitproof, and lot of these boats run lake erie. I also see alot of them running around
