I love/hate the California Delta.

Man. It’s huge and tough. While I didn’t get skunked yesterday my feeble catch made the two hour drive each way - A bitter journey.  I basically “threw a dart” to pick my spot. The tide was good.  I fished last incoming and beginning outgoing.  Lots of kayak competition, but I nutted up and paddles for lonely waters.

I think as a rookie I just need to keep putting in the time.  NOBODY will give up secrets - nor should they.  I figure it out I don’t even post pics. I’ll guard the intel like a secret goldmine.

I do have my next spot picked out.  Watching the wind weather reports. It will be a long distance haul.  But I believe the bass are starting to congregate at the tules.

The Delta is overwhelming. The pre-spawn is tough. I start fishing the Delta in May and during the week. I never go on the weekends. I will be the first to tell you my spots and my gear. I have no secrets. Open book here. Check your PM
