GLX 894C vs GLX 895C FPR for 1 oz Flipping?

Featured Replies

How true to rating is the 894C FPR? Specs say it maxes out at 1 oz and a lot of these rods have a "sweet spot" under the max. I am looking to flip 1/2oz to 1oz and am back n forth between the 894C and 895C.

If the sweet spot on the 894C is less than 1oz, I'll go with the 895C.

Anyone with experience with both of these rods have an opinion? Thanks!

The 844 seems suited for 3/8 to 1/2 oz but I have thrown 3/4oz on it.   If the 89X rods follows the ratings of the 84X  I would definitely go 895 based on my experience.

Def get the 894 fpr.  I use it for punching up to 1.75 oz weights and it works amazing.  I find the glx fpr weight ratings to me way underestimated. You can throw a lot heavier weights then what they say. They are actually about a whole power underpowered. I also had the 895fpr and I traded it for the 894 fpr for punching. Straight pool cue
