MinnKota Ultrex problem not locking in stowed postiion

After installing my Ultrex 80 and BEFORE i install my Bottom Bouncer bracket, when stowing the motor out of water it doesn't lock down in the stowed position, If i jiggle the head and push on the lock knob that goes out on the left side of motor mount it will lock in stowed position. Using the cable and pulling the motor up and letting it fall naturally it won't lock down in the stowed position . Is there an adjustment I can Make?? When stowed the motor sit's on the base correctly within the motor stowed in the required area.
