Foot control mod

Featured Replies

Since getting my boat mid summer, I have had problems with the trolling motor foot control. I'm never sure if the power button is depressed, and when it is, is it still on, or did I lift enough for it to go off. I wind up scritching in my seat to get my foot at the right angle to click the switch on. Anyway, here's what I did.

I took a button that is intended for the bottom of a table or chair leg, and bolted it to the "go button" on the foot control. I tried it out today and it worked great. I just flop my foot on the control and can feel exactly where the switch button is, and I don't have to angle my foot around to click it on.

If you have a problem like this, give a leg button an try.
