Shimano SLX BFS Casting Reel?

Featured Replies

I know the Curado BFS is coming out like soon. Just wondering when the release date for the SLX BFS will be for the U.S. market. I already have a casting rod in mind for the SLX BFS, it's not the Dobyns Sierra BFS rod. I checked out he Phenix Feather, 7'1", light 1/16-3/8oz casting rod. Such a nice light rod that will compliment the SLX BFS. And it's cheaper than the Dobyns Sierra BFS rod.

Reason I'm not wanting the Curado BFS is, I bought the Curado MGL a month ago and that is such a nice reel. I don't need another Curado, since I also added the Curado DC. If the SLX BFS is similar to the Curado BFS, but lower price; I want one!

The Phenix 71L is an excellent rod. I prefer it to the Dobyns. I’ve caught lots of bass with the Phenix, including a 6.75 lmb, and it handled it really well.  It was an epic fight , but it rocked it.

I doubt shimano will bring SLX BFS to US market since both reels are pretty much the same with color theme and two less bearing (supposedly knob bearing)
