Anyone know what the stage of the spawn is on the Chick or James Rivers?

I have not had the opportunity to venture out on either river but with the full moon last weekend and the dogwood trees blooming I would think the spawn is on in both rivers.

 

But don't worry about it. Just go out and hit 'em as hard as you can.

 

If you want to call a tackle shop, I suggest two in Toano as they are the ones the guys go to for the Chick Lake and the Chick River: 

 

Fishing ProTech and speak with Lin, (757) 566-1278

Hookers and speak with someone who fishes the James and Chick, (757) 566-9050
