Does Anyone Else Have This Issue With Their Tatula Rods?

Featured Replies

I’m losing a little faith in what I thought were fantastic rods (they sure have a great rep around here). I have a handful of them, and one has already been replaced due to the cork coming loose, now two more of them have exhibited the same issue.

The cork starts to move on the blank (visibly moves) and squeaks and pops when you’re setting a hook, or fighting a fish. And it’s pretty bad squeaking .... as seen in the video.

My 60th anniversary Tat rod is starting to do it too, and that ones not really  replaceable.

Not sure what to do other than try and rely on the warranty?

I have three over two yers old with no issues, that have been fished pretty hard.

Hmm.
I have five (one is brand new so it doesn’t count). 3 of them will squeak.

I remember I’ve Read about at least one other member here that had loose cork, but it’s been a while back.
