Jig Rod

Featured Replies

So Lews has a MH 7’2 custom speed stick Jig special rod and in that same line just a regular MH 7’2 when you look at the specs they are the same, can someone explain what makes the jig special rod different from the others?

Who the he$$ knows.  Lew's has a hard time coming up with names that differentiate their lines.  According to TW listings they have a white Lew's Custom Speed Stick at $129.99 and a black Lew's Custom Speed Stick at $149.99.  Same name for both lines.  What is the difference other than color?  Is there a difference other than color?  Why give two lines the same name?  Talk about confusing.  Go buy a Tatula.  :lol1:

According to TW they are both 7'2" MH/F, 12-20lb line rating but one is rated for 3/16-5/8oz and the other is 3/8oz - 1oz. I'm guessing the latter is the rod labeled as the jig rod, and from the lure ratings I'd say it's made to handle larger lures like a 3/8oz or 1/2oz jig where the other one is not.
