There are some straight prong types like the Minn Kota ones but those lose their contact surface tension quicker if they are unplugged often. That loss of tension increases resistance, which causes heat in the outlet and voltage loss to the motor.

My fishing partner just bypassed his plug because it kept coming unplugged and heating up. He wired it straight to the battery with an inline fuse.

When I installed mine, I was the same way; I don't care if it costs a little more, I want to install the plug and outlet once without having to worry about it coming loose or heating up. I used the covered version of the outlet Wayne suggested with the matching plug. It is a little pricey, but very well made .

They have a Minn Kota heavy duty set at Wal-Mart for about $30. I bought it because my old one was heating up and it is tough man!
