I am writing this as a man that loves fishing that is also on a budget. The summer weather is upon us and the bite has become a bit more challenging. I have a few leads on new bodies of water but the bite is slow, if you do get bit though…hang on tight! Im looking into dosh finding options and I font have a lit of money nor do I have a BIG boat for lots of gear. Im in a Lifetine Tamarak 100 kayak. The question here is: Can the Garmin Striker CV be fine tuned enough to locate a Thermocline? 

 

Yes.  Choose the conventional sonar screen, then keep turning up the gain until the thermocline shows.  Same as with most any unit, as far as I know.

Awesome! I appreciate it. I just wanna be certain before I make a purchase as I’ve never really used a fishfinder and I wanted to be sure I am getting a decent piece of gear.
