Transducer placement on fiberglass boat

Featured Replies

Finally got a second Garmin and want to move the first one to the console with the transducer on the stern. I’m not sure where it should go?  I’m guessing it would go underneath on the lower section to avoid bubbles if it were mounted on the higher rear-most section of the transom? But if it were mounted lower, it would be totally submerged all the time. If it’s mounted on the transom, would it be the proper water flow?

This transducer is for the Garmin Echomap 73sv.

Thanks in advance for any help offered. https://photos.app.goo.gl/s4HMakNXVHRCrtwy8

Not sure but I think your describing a split level transom if so mount it on the bottom of the top level should work fine at speeds below 25 mine does good luck ?
