Smith Mountain Lake Fishing Guide?

Featured Replies

I will be spending August 21st to the 28th at Smith Mountain Lake. Are there any guides for largemouth bass? Everything I can find online is for Striper. I would love to have someone help teach me a pattern to fish the lake so I can enjoy my week fishing there, as I have never fished the lake before.

I don't know about guides but I stayed there for a week and fished around the same time period. Couldn't find any vegetation and most my fish came from rip rap banks and drop offs around flats in the 10-15' range with plastics. My range was limited in a small aluminum boat and 9hp motor but I hear the southern "fork" is better for lmb fishing.

Good luck.
