Where would you start on this lake?

Featured Replies

I'm heading out to a local lake I've only fished once. There's no online underwater topo maps of the lake, I can't find old images on Google Earth of the water being low to see any cover, and I don't have a depth/fish finder. On the bottom of the picture is a dam and rock wall. I fished mostly there the last time I fished there and I caught my PB of a little over 4 pounds. I'm going in a kayak at 6:30 tomorrow evening. Forecast is calling for a high of 88 and low of 68, partly cloudy all day, with winds around 4mph from the NE. We've had rain for roughly half of each day for the last week or so, so I'm not sure how the water level will be. On the east side of the lake appears to be a creek coming in from the north east. The lake is usually decently clear (3-4 foot down), but I'm expecting it to be a little muddy. There's tons of docks, both floating and pole, around the lake.

Launch ramp area first - then points and nooks - sloping gravel banks - any vegetation.
