Fishing black water

Featured Replies

So I’ve been doing pretty well recently finally landing some good bass in some clearer water ponds. I have a lot of really dark or black water ponds around me and I’ve had no luck. I’ve seen a lot of videos on muddy or stained water but I can’t find anything on black water. I mean it has almost no visibility after any bait hits the water. I’d love some new ideas if you’ve got some.

Thats all I fish in, visibility maybe a foot with all the rain runoff as well as ice tea water (tannins). I use flash, tailspins on stickbaits, underspins with swimbaits, Start with half dozen colors and see what the bass key on with light conditions. Whopper's and buzzbaits on top, spinnerbaits, and I cast close to structure. Bass find food in that dark water just got to get it close to them.
