Looks like a cold seize. If the water/air was very cold it can happen. May or may not be covered. Hopefully it is. Keep us posted, and yes, the block may be repaireable, but don't try JB Weld. If it can be, only a specialized shop can do it right. Gonna be a lot more to repair that block than what you see.

There is a shop up in Minnesota or the Wisconsin area that specializes in this type of repair. If you need the number, let me know and I will find it for you.

Water was in the low 40s, air about the same.

Same sort of thing happened to me during the Kentucky BR roadtrip.  >:D

I think the only way to fix it is to melt it down and make it a Merc.

The guy who towed him back to the ramp made sure I got a photo of a Pro Craft towing a Ranger back to the ramp.   ;D

Duct tape and bondo.  Problem solved.

Thats a nasty hole right there.  That'd tick me off something fierce...

JB weld...No way!!!!  You just need a little outdoor caulk....Caart your killin me ;D
