Has anyone ever fished the Broad River in the piedmont region of SC. I'm talking about between Gaffney and Carlisle. There are smallmouth in there but I have no idea where's a good place to launch a kayak from.

I put in at Gaffney at Dravo rd. It has plenty of smallmouth and closest access from Greenville.  During the summer I took out a couple hundred yards downstream of the put in because of the current from generation in the canal.  I have been wanting to try the reservoir  above the 99 dam also.

I see it on the map. It looks like a pretty good spot. But it's a ways from me. I'm a lot closer to Lockhart, Leeds or Carlisle. They're about an hour from me. But I appreciate the reply.
