OK wen i first tried starting my motor for the year was in my yard in a barrel it has a put button choke so if i keep choking it for 10 or 15 min trying to start it should you beable to see a black film  on the water or is it something i should have checked out

well i have my motor in a barrel in my yard if it has trouble starting it looks as if there is clumps of oil in the water but i think it might be from chocking it too much but i thought i would ask and find out what you guys think

Yes, that is from the exhaust.

One of the main reasons two strokes will eventually stop being made... terrible on the environment.  Even the new and "improved" models will still do this, especially when you start it up, ie choking it.  Watch most boats when they first put in and there will be a small oil film next to their stern/engine.

If you start getting something that looks like a tanker capsized you might want to look into that.  But a small film directly around your motor is pretty normal.
