i have a bow mount trolling motor and am trying to mount my transducer but its a skimmer transducer and im having problems   because i dont have the bracket for it. any ideas?

Yeah, grab the bracket.  I got one for my Lowrance/Eagle for like 15 bucks.

If you want a sturdy, protective mount, get the one made by Transducer Shield and Saver. It is made of aluminum and can mount a whole transducer or one that has the mounting arm broken off like what will happen with the factory adaptor.

Bass Pro Shops has them in their catalog.

What I prefer to use for mounting skimmers to trolling motors is the actual metal transom bracket that comes with the skimmer. All you do is bend the ends of the bracket up (where the screws would normally go) so a hose clamp can slide thru. Use the provided bolt and washers to mount transducer in bracket. Works great.

All you need is a hose clamp. This method works perfectly.
