passanger console removal

Featured Replies

I have a fish/ski 17 foot glasstron boat. It has a passenger side console that i would like to remove. The console is fiberglass, I was wanting to extended the casting deckon that side so my 7 ft poles could have room on the deck. Any advice or has anyone done anythiing like this?

No screws. Im talking cut the fiberglass so the whole console it out of the boat.

Man if it is built in to the hull like mine you better leave it to a pro. Cutting fiberglass like that requires skill and time. Just my opinion

If it were me, I'd call someone at Glasstron who knew what they were doing & ask them. They'll of course tell you it's not recommended, do it at your own risk, blah, blah, blah. I'm pretty sure they are still in business.

But maybe you'll get a hold of someone who can actually help you.

Just make sure it's not tied to anything structurally, then have at it with a Sawzall.
