hey fellas need some help....how have you fellas rigged your portable fish finder? i have a 12ft jon boat and looking at a fish finder that goes over the side of the boat or i think i have seen guys put on a better fish finder with a transducer but i need to be able to transport it without breaking anything off as it is a cartop boat. links to other topics like this or pics or advice would be awesome as usual! thanks in advance

Mine has a suction cup mount.

Mount the transducer on a board and then use a "C" clamp to hold it on the transom.

There are commercial versions in metal that do the same, but you can be functional for about $2.

I have one of the cabelas mounts and it works great.
