ANSWERED-MK Ulterra discontinued question

Marina called and said they had a used ulterra to sell me, older angler who moved to Florida/barely used/only driven on Sunday’s to church/etc. Looked up the model number, MK 1358921 and it had been discontinued. I am trying to figure out why it is was discontinued and whether it was before the reinvention of ipilot in 2017. I don’t have access to the serial number. Any Ulterra owners provide insight? 
 

EDIT: CALLED MK BACK AND SPOKE TO A DIFFERENT TECH WHO STATED THAT MK DID AWAY WITH OFFERING US2 PAIRING ON THIS CONFIGURATION
